"Comment to get the link" DM template

When someone comments your keyword, the DM should hand over the link in the first line, name what it is, and give one button to tap. Below are six ready variants in English and Hinglish, the public reply for the comment section, and how to set it up in SuperProfile Auto-DM.

What should the DM say?

The person asked for one thing. Give it to them, say what it is, and stop. Square brackets are the parts you replace; the button carries the link, so the text does not need a raw URL.

Variant 4 and 6 end with a question or an offer to reply. That is deliberate: a reply opens Meta's 24-hour window, which you need if you want to send anything else later.

What should the public comment reply say?

The public reply tells other viewers the automation works, and tells the commenter where to look. SuperProfile can post up to three rotating public comment replies, each up to 140 characters. Use three that read differently:

Mentioning message requests helps people who do not follow you, since Instagram may file the DM there.

What button text works best?

Name the thing: "Get the template", "Open the recipe", "See the gear list".
Keep it to 2 to 4 words. The editor allows up to 60 characters, but long labels can be cut off on small screens.
Avoid "Click here". It says nothing about what opens.

What should you customise?

The keyword. One short word people can type with a thumb: LINK, GUIDE, RECIPE. Avoid words that appear in normal comments ("nice", "wow").
The noun. Say exactly what the link is, using the same words as your Reel's on-screen text.
The tone. Copy the voice of your captions. If your Reels are in Hinglish, lead with variant 5 or 6.
Link tracking. SuperProfile has a Track link clicks toggle on every Instagram and Messenger automation (on by default); turn it off and links go out exactly as typed, with no redirect; Amazon and Flipkart links are always sent as typed so affiliate commission and the shopping app open work; with tracking off, click counts and link-not-clicked follow-ups are unavailable for that automation.

Should you send a follow-up?

For a free link, one follow-up is plenty, and only to people who did not open it. Follow-ups are on paid plans; on SuperProfile, follow-ups run within 23 hours of the person's message, inside Meta's messaging window; and on a comment they need the person to tap your opening message first.

What mistakes should you avoid?

A paragraph before the link. People came for the link; three lines of thank-you push the button below the fold.
Promising the DM in the caption without a backup. Write "comment LINK and I will DM you", and keep the link in your bio too, for people Meta's rules exclude (for example, comments older than 7 days).
Using a keyword on several automations. Two automations on the same post with the same keyword clash. One keyword, one automation.
Raw URLs in the text. Use the button. It is easier to tap and it is what link-click tracking counts.

Frequently asked questions

Why did someone comment the keyword but get no DM?

Common reasons: the comment was on a different post, it did not contain the keyword, the Instagram connection expired, or "Allow access to messages" is off in Instagram. See auto DM not working.

Can I send a different link for a different keyword on the same Reel?

Yes, on paid plans, which allow more than one keyword. Make one automation per keyword so each sends its own DM.

Is "comment to get link" allowed by Instagram?

Yes, through Meta's official messaging API. Meta's messaging windows and rules apply to all messages: one private reply per comment, within 7 days of the comment.
