Facebook Page post size: photo, video and link preview specs

Meta doesn't publish one official pixel size for an ordinary Facebook Page photo or video post. The number it does publish is for the preview image on a shared link: at least 1200 x 630 pixels, close to 1.91:1. Numbers like 1080 x 1350 you'll see elsewhere are design-tool convention, not Meta's own spec. We build SuperProfile; its Facebook Page scheduler is covered near the end.

What size should a Facebook Page photo be?

Meta's Business Help Centre does not list a pixel size for an ordinary feed photo. What you'll find elsewhere (1080 x 1350 for a portrait photo, 1080 x 1080 for square) comes from design tools and agency blogs, not from Meta — it's a safe convention for how an image displays well on a phone, not an official requirement. The one number Meta itself publishes is for a shared link's preview image, covered below.

Some guides quote 1200 x 630 as the "ideal post size" — that's really the link-preview number (next section), carried over to photo posts without saying so.

Does my photo need to be a specific size?

You don't need to crop or re-shape it: SuperProfile does not crop a Facebook Page photo, album or video post to any particular aspect ratio, unlike Instagram posts, which are cropped to Instagram's feed aspect range. A Facebook photo is still downscaled if it's wider than 1440 pixels, converted to JPEG if it was PNG or WEBP, and must be at least 320 pixels wide.

What size is a Facebook link preview image?

This is the one case Meta publishes an actual spec for, in its developer documentation (read 30 October 2026): Meta's own developer guidance for the image on a shared link: at least 1200 x 630 pixels (600 x 315 at minimum), close to a 1.91:1 ratio so Feed doesn't crop it, 200 x 200 pixels minimum, 8 MB maximum file size. A square or portrait image gets letterboxed or cropped in the preview; a 1.91:1 landscape image shows in full.

What are the file size and video length limits?

Facebook's own maximums vary by how you publish, so these are the limits inside SuperProfile's Facebook Page scheduler, which covers most creators' needs: a Facebook Page photo can be up to 30 MB, a regular video up to 300 MB (1 second to 4 hours), a Story video up to 100 MB, and a Reel is vertical, 3 to 90 seconds.

What size are Facebook Reels and Stories?

Facebook Reels and Stories use the same tall, full-screen shape as Instagram's — see our Instagram Reel size guide for the general vertical format. SuperProfile's own Reel and Story limits: a Facebook Reel is vertical, 3 to 90 seconds; a Story takes one photo or one video.

What size are the Page cover photo and profile picture?

We couldn't verify current numbers directly from Meta for this wake, so we're not publishing a figure we can't source. Check Meta's Business Help Centre directly before resizing a cover photo or logo.

Can I schedule Facebook Page posts in these sizes?

We build SuperProfile, so this is our tool. You need a Facebook Page connected in SuperProfile Auto-DM through Messenger; the same Schedule calendar holds your Instagram and Facebook Page posts. SuperProfile can schedule text posts, link posts, photos, albums of 2 to 10 photos, videos, Reels, and Stories with one photo or video, and SuperProfile does not crop a Facebook Page photo, album or video post to any particular aspect ratio, unlike Instagram posts, which are cropped to Instagram's feed aspect range. A Facebook photo is still downscaled if it's wider than 1440 pixels, converted to JPEG if it was PNG or WEBP, and must be at least 320 pixels wide. See the Facebook Page scheduler for the full walkthrough.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best size for a Facebook Page photo post?

Meta doesn't publish one. Numbers like 1080 x 1350 are design-tool convention, not a Meta requirement. SuperProfile's scheduler doesn't crop your photo to a particular aspect ratio, though it still downscales very wide images and converts PNG/WEBP to JPEG.

What size is a Facebook link preview image?

At least 1200 x 630 pixels, close to a 1.91:1 ratio, minimum 200 x 200, maximum 8 MB — from Meta's own developer documentation.

How big can a Facebook Page video be?

In SuperProfile's scheduler: up to 300 MB for a regular video, 100 MB for a Story video. A Reel is vertical and 3 to 90 seconds.

What size are Facebook Reels?

The same vertical, full-screen shape as Instagram Reels.
