How to make an influencer rate card in India

A rate card lists your price for each deliverable (Reel, Story, post, bundle) plus the add-ons that change it: usage rights, exclusivity, rush delivery and revisions. Build it from your own engagement and past deals, use published INR benchmarks only as a sanity check because they disagree widely, and send it after you have the brand's brief.

What do Indian rate benchmarks say?

Published numbers vary by a factor of two or more for the same follower band, so treat them as a range to check against, never as your price. Three sources as of October 2026:

SourceWhat it measuresInstagram Reel figure
CollabDeskAgency benchmark by follower tier (2025 figures)Nano (1K to 10K): ₹1,500 to ₹6,000. Micro (10K to 100K): ₹6,000 to ₹35,000
GrynowAgency campaign benchmark by tier, labelled indicativeNano (1K to 10K): ₹1,000 to ₹12,000. Micro (10K to 100K): ₹8,000 to ₹80,000
InfluencerMetricPrices creators listed on its marketplace, counted 22 September 2026 (42 Reel packages, not split by followers)Median ₹4,200; middle half ₹1,000 to ₹7,000

The marketplace numbers are list prices from a small sample, and the agency numbers don't publish how they were collected. What they agree on: engagement, niche and usage rights move the price more than follower count alone.

How do I work out my own price?

  1. Start from what brands already paid you. Your last three paid deals are better evidence than any table. If you have none, start near the low end of the ranges above for your band.
  2. Price per deliverable, not per follower. Brands buy a Reel and its views. Bring your average Reel views and engagement from the last 30 days to the conversation.
  3. Add the add-ons separately. Exclusivity and paid-ads usage are separate lines on the quote. CollabDesk suggests 30% to 50% extra for 30 to 90 days of exclusivity and 25% to 100% for ads usage; InfluencerMetric suggests 30% to 100% for usage, depending on duration and placement.
  4. Set a floor. Decide the lowest fee you will accept for a Reel and keep it private. It stops you agreeing to a lowball offer on the spot.
  5. Review every three months. Raise the card at the start of a new campaign, with your updated views.

Barter or paid: which deals should I take?

Paid or barter, the ASCI influencer guidelines ask creators to disclose a material connection with a brand in the post. Agree the disclosure in the brief. For GST and income tax on paid and barter deals, talk to a CA.

How do I reply when a brand asks for my rates?

Ask for the brief first: deliverables, timeline, usage, budget. Then send the matching line from your card, not the whole card. Two replies you can adapt:

Let your rates sort brand DMs for you

Once you know your numbers, SuperProfile Brand Collab uses them. It:

Rates and currency: rates are set in your account's own currency (INR for creators in India, otherwise your default currency, USD if none is set); an offer in another currency is converted at the daily exchange rate and shown both ways, for example €600 (≈ $660), marked as approximate; if no fresh rate is available the offer is shown in its own currency and not compared. Brand Collab is part of SuperProfile's paid plans, with up to 50 brand requests handled per creator per month.

Rate card kaise banayein: Indian creators ke liye

Rate card mein har deliverable ka price likho: Reel, Story, post, aur 2 se 3 bundles. Usage rights (brand aapka video ads mein kitne din chalayega), exclusivity (kitne din competitor ke saath kaam nahi karoge), revisions aur payment terms alag lines mein likho.

Internet pe jo INR rates milte hain, woh ek doosre se bahut alag hain, isliye unhe sirf check ke liye use karo. Apna price apne pichle deals, Reel views aur engagement se tay karo. Brand pehle brief bheje, phir sirf uska matching price bhejo. Jo brand aapse paise maange, woh scam hai.

Frequently asked questions

How much should I charge for a Reel in India?

There's no single rate. Published Indian benchmarks for a Reel from a 10K to 100K creator range from about ₹6,000 to ₹35,000 (CollabDesk) to ₹8,000 to ₹80,000 (Grynow), while a marketplace count found a median listed price of ₹4,200 across all sizes (InfluencerMetric). Start from your past deals and your average Reel views.

Should I put prices on my media kit?

Many creators keep the media kit for audience stats and send prices only after the brief, so the quote fits the deliverables and usage the brand actually wants.

What are usage rights in a brand deal?

Permission for the brand to reuse your content: reposting on its page, or running it as a paid ad. Ads usage is usually charged extra and for a fixed period, such as 30 days.

Should I charge GST to brands?

It depends on your registration and turnover. Ask a CA, and state on your card whether your prices include GST.

Is barter collaboration worth it?

Only when the product is worth it to you and the brand asks for little: no fixed script, no deadline and no ads usage. Otherwise ask for a fee.

What should I do when a brand offers far below my rate?

Offer a smaller package that fits their budget, such as Stories only, instead of cutting your Reel price.
