DRDO DRDL JRF Recruitment 2026 – Short Overview

The Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad, under DRDO, has invited applications for 16 Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions through a Walk-in Interview. The recruitment is open for candidates from Mechanical Engineering (09 posts), Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering (04 posts), and Electronics & Communication Engineering (03 posts).

Qualification: Candidates must have a First Class B.E./B.Tech with a valid GATE score in the relevant discipline or a First Class M.E./M.Tech along with First Class B.E./B.Tech in the same discipline.

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years (Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years).

Stipend: ₹37,000 per month + HRA as per DRDO rules. Fellowship tenure is initially 2 years, extendable up to 4 years based on performance.

Eligible candidates need to fill the prescribed application form, attach self-attested copies of educational certificates, mark sheets, GATE score card, caste certificate (if applicable), NOC (for employed candidates), and bring the completed application along with original documents to the walk-in interview venue. Selection Process
