🛠️ Feature Overview & Use Cases

1. 🎛️ Adjustment Layers (Independent & Shared)

What it does:Instantly generates an Adjustment Layer directly above your selected clip(s), perfectly trimmed to match the clip’s In and Out points.

• Independent (ADJ):Creates a unique project asset for every layer. Great for isolating effects.
• Shared (Shared):Uses the same master asset. Changing the label color or properties affects all instances.
• Use Case:You need to apply a quick Lumetri Color grade or a Transform effect to a specific B-roll clip without affecting the rest of the timeline.

2. 🟩 Solid Color Mattes

What it does:Generates a Solid Color Matte over your selected clips, automatically trimmed.

• Use Case:Perfect for quick background plates, flash transitions, or masking elements. No more digging through theFile > New > Color Mattemenu.

3. 🥞 Stack & Sandwich

What it does:Creates multiple layers (up to 10) stacked on top of each other simultaneously, or “Sandwiches” your clip between layers.

• Use Case:You have a complex VFX build (e.g., Grain, Color Grade, Halation, and Glow) that requires 4 adjustment layers stacked perfectly over a clip. Set your stack counter to 4, click once, and boom—your VFX stack is ready.

4. ✂️ Non-Destructive Trimming (Trim Above / Below)

What it does:Trims the selected clip to the playhead seamlessly, without deleting the clip instance. It also dropsCut (Start)andCut (End)markers exactly at the trim point.

• The Adobe Problem:Native trimming or replacing often deletes motion keyframes, transitions, and effects.
• The AYU Solution:By natively modifying the.startand.inPointdata, all your carefully crafted effects are preserved perfectly.

5. 🔁 True Duplicate

What it does:Duplicates your selected clip and intelligently places it on the nearest safe track above, without overwriting existing media.

6. 📦 Nest & Unnest

What it does:

• Nest:Groups selected clips into a Nested Sequence with a single click.
• Unnest:Reverses the process, pulling the internal clips out of the nest and placing them back onto your main timeline, resolving track conflicts automatically.
• Use Case:You nested clips to apply a warp stabilizer, but now you need to tweak the raw cuts. Click Unnest, make your changes, and you’re done.

7. ⚡ Strobe Effect

What it does:Generates alternating gaps (e.g., 2 frames on, 2 frames off) of solid mattes or adjustment layers.

• Use Case:High-energy music videos and hype reels. Create intense flashing strobe effects instantly without manually cutting layers frame-by-frame.

8. 🖼️ Native Image Paste 

What it does:Copies whatever image is currently in your system clipboard (Mac or Windows) and pastes it directly onto the Premiere Pro timeline.
