Mission Aurora: Printable Space Escape Room for Kids

The Nova Bandit has sneaked aboard Space Station Aurora and stolen the Star Core, the glowing crystal that powers the whole station. Your cadet team has 60 minutes to open five airlocks at Moon Base Zero, find his secret code word and bring the Star Core home.

ZMS Mission Aurora is a printable space escape room for kids and teens aged 8 to 14, for 1 to 8 players. Print it, fill six envelopes and start the clock. No padlocks, no apps, no internet. Perfect for a space birthday party, a sleepover, a rainy day, a classroom or a family game afternoon. The story and characters are original.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• 5 rooms, 5 different puzzles: a shift-code message with a cut-out Cipher Wheel, a fuel cell logic puzzle, picture sums with a supply locker look-up, a mirror-writing riddle and a pigpen symbol code

• A self-checking Airlock on every page, so players know when an answer is right without asking the host

• Host Guide with a 10-minute setup, a script to read aloud, a timeline, an answer key and a walk-through of every puzzle

• Player pack (15 pages): mission briefing, mission log, five room pages, cipher wheel, core vault page, mission-complete letter, certificate

• 15 hint cards in 3 levels, room signs, envelope labels, cadets-at-work signs and 6 Cadet ID badges

• Ways to make it easier, harder, or bigger for a party or a class

FILES YOU GET

US Letter and A4 folders. In each: the Host Guide and Answer Key, the Player Pack in colour, and the Player Pack Ink Saver on plain white. 6 PDFs plus a README.

HOW IT WORKS

Open the envelopes in order. Solve the puzzle. Turn the answer into numbers (A=1 to Z=26) and add them up to check the Airlock. The first letters of the five answers spell the Nova Bandit's code word. Say it at the Core Vault and the mission is complete. Plan 45 to 60 minutes.
