# How to sell Notion templates in India

A Notion template is not a file you upload, it is a page you publish and let buyers duplicate. This guide covers getting that page set up correctly before you sell it, delivering it from your own page with UPI checkout, and finding buyers on Instagram.

## How does selling a Notion template actually work?
There is no file. What a buyer gets is a link to a Notion page you have published, with duplication turned on so they can copy it into their own workspace. The product editor lists Digital Products as "Sell images, videos, music, docs, and more", so a template sits alongside the other things you can sell — but because it is a link, not a download, the part that needs care is how you publish and share that page, not a file format.

## Before you publish: set up the page correctly
Get these right before you link to it anywhere, sourced to Notion's own help docs ([notion.com/help](https://www.notion.com/help/public-pages-and-web-publishing), checked 28 Oct 2026):

- Build the template in its own workspace or page, with nothing in it you would not want a stranger to read — Notion's own docs say publishing a page publishes all of its subpages too, so anything nested inside rides along.
- Turn on "Duplicate as template" when you publish, so a buyer can copy the page into their own workspace. Without it they can read the page but not copy it.
- Check whether "Search engine indexing" is on for that page. Turning it off only keeps the page out of search results — anyone who already has the link can still open it either way, so it does not replace a paywall. Leaving it on means your template can also turn up as a free result in search.
- Open the published link in a private window while signed out, then duplicate it with a second account, so you catch a broken toggle before a buyer does.

Sample data. A Notion template has no file to upload — paste the published, duplicate-enabled page link into Add resource link; it then appears in the Uploads list, the same as any other file.

## How to sell it from your own page

1. [Create a SuperProfile account](https://superprofile.bio/signup) (creating one is free; selling in India needs a paid plan, see the [pricing page](https://superprofile.bio/pricing)) and complete KYC — no payment gateway account needed, only KYC.
2. Publish your Notion template with the settings above, and copy its share link.
3. Create a Digital Product: add a cover (an image or a video walkthrough works — the cover takes either), a title, and a description of what the template includes and who it is for.
4. On the upload step, skip the file upload and add your template's link as a resource link instead.
5. Publish it and put the link in your Instagram or YouTube bio.
6. Buyers pay by UPI, cards or netbanking and get the link automatically; earnings are paid out to your bank account the next day (T+1).

## How should you price it?
Simple single-page templates (a tracker, a single dashboard) tend to sell for less than a full system with several connected databases and views. Look at the time or money it saves the buyer, not just the hours you spent building it, and consider a cheaper starter template alongside a full system once you have a few sales and some reviews.

## Finding buyers on Instagram
Your own checkout page needs traffic brought to it, so post a short walkthrough of the template on a Reel or carousel — the views, the dashboards, what it solves — with the link in your bio. If you ask people to comment a keyword for it, [Auto-DM can send your SuperProfile checkout page link automatically](https://superprofile.bio/guides/free-instagram-auto-dm) instead of you replying to each comment by hand; buyers see and pay on that page first, then receive your Notion template link. ## Notion templates online kaise bechein?
Notion template ek file nahi, ek link hai — usse publish kijiye aur "Duplicate as template" setting on kijiye taaki buyer apne workspace mein copy kar sake. Search engine indexing off rakhne se template search results mein nahi dikhega, lekin jiske paas link hai wo usse phir bhi khol sakta hai — yeh paywall ka kaam nahi karta. SuperProfile par account banana free hai, lekin India mein sell karne ke liye paid plan chahiye (pricing page dekhiye); account banakar KYC kijiye, Digital Product banaiye aur upload step mein file ki jagah apna template ka link resource link ke roop mein add kijiye. Buyer UPI, card ya netbanking se pay karta hai aur link use apne aap mil jaata hai.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need to upload a file to sell a Notion template?
No. A Notion template has no file to upload — it is a published, duplicate-enabled Notion page. On SuperProfile, the upload step takes unlimited files up to 100MB in total, or you can add a resource link instead of uploading: paste your template's share link into the resource-link field instead of uploading anything.

### Can I sell Notion templates without using Notion's own Marketplace?
Yes. Notion's Marketplace is one route, with its own review process and fee; selling from your own page is a separate route: you set the price, keep the buyer's contact details, and bring your own traffic, usually from Instagram, YouTube or a newsletter. If you sell the same template on both, Notion's own docs note that once you sell an existing paid template directly through Notion (its own checkout, rather than linking Marketplace out to your page), it stops being duplicable through its old link on a third-party platform — keep a separate published copy for your own page.

### Do I need a payment gateway account to sell Notion templates in India?
No. In India you sell through SuperProfile's own checkout (UPI, cards and netbanking) after KYC, without your own payment gateway account.

### How do I get paid after someone buys my template?
Earnings are paid out to your bank account the next day (T+1).

### What happens if I update my template after someone has already bought it?
An ordinary duplicate is a point-in-time copy: a buyer's copy will not pick up later changes to your original (synced blocks can keep updating while they stay connected and the buyer still has access to the original block). The link you sell does reflect your latest edits for anyone who opens it after you update it, so decide a policy and say it on the page, for example a free re-share of the updated link to past buyers, or a note that major updates are a new version.

### Is it free to start?
Creating an account is free; selling in India needs a paid plan. See the [pricing page](https://superprofile.bio/pricing).
